'Deemus' had already worked with Joe Venuti; Red Norvo; Charley Barnet and Muggsy Spanier, before joining the Louis Armstrong band, with which he toured Europe, and appeared in the film 'High Society'. He again toured Europe with the Benny Goodman Band, and visited South Africa with 'Wild' Bill Davidson. But the most interesting aspect of the band is the number of 30+ years old sidemen who are really swinging the great old charts, as the band tours the Illinois and Indiana area.
